Tyler owned a unicycle for 5 days when I met him in Boylan Heights a little over a month ago. In that short period of time he learned to launch it, meaning he can get going while it’s on the ground while not using his hands. He can pedal backward and forward, as well as sit in the same spot for a few moments.

Isaac Hunter’s Tavern to Host Benefit for Sho Nuff and 1304 Bikes

This Saturday (May 15th) at 1PM the folks at Isaac Hunter’s Oak City Tavern are hosting a silent art auction to benefit the family of Russell Lee (“Sho Nuff”) and 1304 Bikes.

Bike to Work Week Kicks Off May 14th

Bike to Work Week 2010 kicks off Friday, May 14th from 3-6PM at Marbles Kids Museum on Moore Square. The event will host a kids bike rodeo, a giveaway of kids helmets, a Cycling and Environmental Expo, and a group ride through Raleigh at 6PM.

The event is part of the national Bike To Work Week, which is May 17th through May 21st. It is being sponsored locally by GoTriangle and the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
