Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night

The Bulldozer Building

The North Carolina Equipment Rental Building, aka The Bulldozer Building. You can read about it in the news here.

I can give some additional insight into recent developments. The building isn’t going to be knocked down. Bob Young, the CEO of Lulu, has enormous respect for old buildings with character. As such, the building will remain intact. Provided that the city is accomodating, the bulldozer sign itself won’t be heading for the scrapyard.

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church

On the corner of Brooks And Clark Ave.

Some information from their official web site states that:

In 1953 the present church site at Brooks and Clark was purchased from North Carolina State College. To accommodate a membership that had outgrown the original building, plans for construction of an educational building and student center were begun. The first service in the newly completed building was on December 2, 1956.

Several people I do not know

Pantana’s Pool Hall is a place I didn’t know existed until the night I grabbed these photos. It is located in a red building with no sign or labels of any sort. It is across from Pantana Bob’s ( PB’s) on Hillsborough St.
