For Fastback Friday this week, we stop in at the Pine Tops tourist home. The Spanish Colonial styled residence still stands on Wake Forest Rd. in Raleigh, although the view is now almost completely obscured by, well, pine trees.
This week for Flashback Friday we’ll make a brief stopover at the Raleigh Cabana Motel. In the spring of 1964 our correspondent, ‘Elizabeth,’ mailed two photochrome postcards depicting the motel back home to her mother in Greenville, SC.
Flashback Friday is on vacation this week, so in the meantime, we hope you enjoy this classic linen postcard of Carolina Beach — at night, of course. We’ll be back next Friday!
