Two Opportunities to Help a Family in Time of Tragedy

Vivace in North Hills

This weekend, you have two opportunities to dine out at fine local restaurants help the parents of Ashley Ramos-Hernandez, the 6 year old that died after being struck by a vehicle not long after exiting the school bus on her way home.

The service staff at Vivace and Coquette (where Ashley’s parents worked) are donating 100% of their tips and wages to her family. Additionally, the staff from Porter’s and Frazier’s (also part of the Urban Food Group family) will be donating portions or in some cases all of their tips the family as well.

Dean over at VarmintBites summed it up far better than I can:

It’s horrific to lose a child in such a tragic accident, but then having to deal with the medical and funeral expenses makes it even worse.

So if you are looking for a place to dine next Saturday, consider going to Vivace and Coquette.  While you’re there, please tip a little more than usual, knowing that you’re helping to ease a family’s pain.
