This Saturday, August 22nd is the Third Annual Lump Benefit. Featuring live DJs and VJs, this annual event is what funds the artist-run operation year-round. Covered extensively on this blog, Lump specializes in drawing attention to under-recognized artists working in a wide range of media and subject matter. One First Friday showing you may be immersed in a dizzying maze of woodcut drawings from floor to ceiling,  the next may be two small auditory pieces in the center of the room. Each one is unique, most are thought provoking as well as beautiful. Entry is a $5 donation at the door, and donations are accepted for beer. Come out and support this fantastic gallery, and enjoy some great dance tunes and stimulating visuals. See more photos from last year’s event.
