Many of the buildings shown in this ‘linen’ postcard aerial from 1940 are long gone. Curiously, though, there is one prominent city landmark  NOT shown here.
The structure was standing in 1940 (and had been since 1904 no less) — and in 2011 still is! Can you guess the missing landmark??
