Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night
Zail Smith, a freshman at NC State, created the above timelapse video of Raleigh for his final design project.
Nice!! I hope Zail got a good grade. Thanks for sharing the video. :-)
Very enjoyable! Thank you for sharing it.
Excellent!!! Especially the skyline views at dawn and dusk.
Very cool! I know I am certainly one of the people driving by on South Saunders early in the am.
Would love it if it had times to compare traffic patterns.
Very cool! Thanks for sharing. It makes Raleigh look so majestic…
Thanks to everyone who has watched the video. It has gotten over 1,000 views in less than a week, a lot more than I could have ever imagined.
Moved to Raleigh in 1956. worked at Chiips 1966 later Hardee’s, Emma Conn to Morson to Enloe. Lived in Woodcrest until 1968 – Army
This is a terrific video montage. I watched it while listening to some down-tempo ambient stuff, and it was hypnotic. Nice work!
Went to 7th grade in that Tabernacle Baptist church (late in the video) Mr. Bridges/Mrs. Lahr
That can’t be Tabernacle Baptist, because the street sign says “Salisbury”. former Tabernacle sits on corner of Person and Hargett. I believe that is actually First Baptist (white).
You may be correct. I thought backside was Salsbury, but 45 years and few visits back dim the memory. That view of the site shown seems to resemble our enterance.
Jimmy, it was 50 years ago that we finished 7th grade…not 45.
