Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night

Morning View 080311

The Brewery on 08-01-11. Thanks for the memories. Growing up in Raleigh The Brewery was the place to go for live music. Back in the 80’s it was called P.C. Good Times.

Sundays were all ages shows with the likes of COC, No Labels and Buckwheats Army. So many great bands and shows came through The Brewery, Jane’s Addiction, Soul Asylum, Fishbone, Bad Brains, Fetchin Bones, Flaming Lips, Black Flag, Jeff Buckley, Cowboy Junkies just to name a few. Last show I saw was Semisonic back in 1998. When you grow up and have kids it’s hard to get out.
