Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night

The Capitol Building From Memorial Auditorium

The view from Memorial Auditorium just got a bit nicer with the addition of a few new buildings, planters, and greenery.

A closer view reveals the new shrubbery in place between South and Lenoir Streets. Noticably absent is the metal sculpture that rotates along an axis (I don’t know the name of the piece or who the artist is). I first noticed it when it was on Fayetteville Mall. After it was reopened to vehicular traffic, it was moved here in front of the auditorium. It has now moved for a third (or fourth or fifth) time. Do you know where the sculpture now rests?
