From the bridge that I later regretted crossing. It was dilapidated, dark, and hard to find footing.
I later walked across this bridge and regretted it.

John,
Your photo (and commentary) of the RR bridge between West St and Glenwood Ave sparked a memory in me dating back 30+ years! When I was young and foolish I decided I was going to walk across the RR bridge over Western Blvd at the end of Lenoir St near the State Pen. I got about halfway across when suddenly regret swept over me…but I had to continue to the end, as it wold have been as far to go on as to turn back! I still regret that event ever since.
Your Raleigh pix are awesome… Thanks for documenting downtown Raleigh like nobody else has!
