The beeping has finally stopped. I walk past this building about twice a week (It’s a downtown parking issue). Since the tornado back on April 16th the back up alarm warning has been going off, beep, beep, beep, beep …… This morning I noticed it has stopped. The condemned by the city of Raleigh sign on the building is gone and has been replaced with a for lease sign.

Is that dog food I smell ? No, it’s the Cargill soybean processing plant on S. Blount St. Most people I know still call it the Purina plant. Drive by on a hot day and you won’t be disappointed by the smell.
