Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night

Model Shoot On Hargett Street

By a complete chance encounter, I happened upon two gentlemen with professional photography gear taking photos of someone moving mannequins and other items from an upstairs loft.

Naturally, I was interested in the absurdity of the situation. Seeing two mannquins–a torso sticking out of an engine block and one that was scantily clad while looking on was certainly something you don’t see every day.

Mollie, pictured above, was in the process of moving stuff out of a loft when two photographers were interested and started snapping away. I then decided to photograph the photographers. Everything was completely unplanned, the four of us came together rather spontaneously and almost as quickly dissipated. It’s mind boggling to think how unlikely of a scenario this would have been just a few years ago.
