Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night

Have You Seen the Wiggly?

If you weren’t at the Art of Business opening at the Raleigh City Museum this past First Friday, then you won’t be able to see the sign in the image above. It was a friendly and humorous reminder not to touch the Piggly Wiggly grocery store sign that was part of the exhibit (ever wonder about NOFO & The Pig in Five Points?). Someone in attendance decided that the ‘don’t touch’ sign needed to be in their home and lifted it.

The Art of Business show at the Raleigh City Museum is a fascinating look at graphic design used by Raleigh businesses from eras past and is well worth a visit. The exhibit will be up until March.

Hi Justin,

What size do you want? I do 5x7s for $10.

I’ll give what’s left over after printing costs to the Raleigh City Museum.

John, that’s so nice! We can use it to make a new wiggly sign :)
