A New Oppurtunity For Pedicab Drivers

Pictured above are three pedicab drivers from the Raleigh Rickshaw Company gathering for a quiet moment before an event lets out for the evening. The new Convention Center is a lucrative new source of income for those offering alternative modes of transportation downtown.

The pedicabs are brilliant. I so love riding in them. And they’re super cheap (in that you can tip what you want, though I always try to tip well). I rode a pedicab Friday night in Raleigh and Saturday night in Chapel Hill. I’m not usually too lazy to walk several blocks downtown, but after a few cocktails it sure is nice (especially if you have cute shoes on). I’m sure business will only continue to improve for them with the convention center and condos that are about to open.
