Goodnight Raleigh - a look at the art, architecture, history, and people of the city at night

The Official Beginning of Goodnight, Raleigh!

This is the official beginning of the Goodnight, Raleigh! blog. Goodnight Raleigh! is the tentative name for a project I have been working on for some time.

When I first moved to Raleigh in 2004, I knew next to nothing about the place. Seeing as though I had nothing better to do with my time, I went downtown and started taking pictures. It provided a good way to spend time as well as explore the city.

Fast forward to 2007, and I’ve hatched a new idea: combine my love of both night photography and cityscapes to document the places, people, and landmarks of the downtown area after dark.

This first picture is of me, in May of 2005 on the corner of Hargett and Dawson that I used for a project for a digital imaging class at NC State.
