On Tuesday night, students from the NC State student body came together to celebrate the rising prominence of fashion design at the University. What seems like a perfectly natural evolution, given State’s top caliber design and textile programs, has been most popularly recognized during the annual Art to Wear fashion show.

There are a couple of places I try to stop every week or two and take some photos, as the skyline is changing everyday. This is the future home of the AIA building on Peace St. I started photographing this spot when they broke ground. I’m curious if I’m the only one that thinks we’ll never have this view again ?

Can you guess what year this photo was taken in? I don’t know the answer, but there are a few clues: Both the old Progress Energy Building and the old Raleigh Convention Center were built in 1977. The old State Theater is still intact (where the Wake Co. Jail is today), and the BB&T Building (1985) hadn’t been built yet.
