Those days were awesome, in the old WKNC studio on the 4th floor of the Student Center. Of all the things I did at WKNC-FM, including working in news, public affairs, and promotions, hosting Request Rock was my favorite. It was a job that required a lot of work, but playing listener requests is a lot of fun, especially when I really dig the music myself, as I very much did on those Friday nights in the 80s.
