Johnny, I realize that art like this is not for everyone, and that's part of the beauty of art - it's varied enough so that everyone can find things that they enjoy. However, your particular comment is useless to any meaningful debate on talent and quality of the subject matter on which I have written this article. It gives your opinion less credence when you post under an alias.

I would love to have a meaningful conversation about the merits of the art, but you've provided no supporting points to your opinions. You state that there are 'truly exciting and actually talented artists' in the area, yet, you provide no names of these artists whom you admire.

It is inappropriate to assume that because you don't like these artists, that my time spent writing this article was a waste, and that no one else would enjoy seeing their work. Clearly, the comment above yours shows that people exist in this city who like these artists.

If you'd like me to consider writing about any of these 'truly exciting and talented' artists to whom you refer, please tell me who they are and I can make a decision about them for my next spotlight.

Um, frankly their work looks like cartoon crap. Why waste time blogging about these two talentless wannabes when there are some truly exciting and actually talented artists in the area????

I love Norval's work. When I have a kid, I hope I have enough money to put at least one of his paintings in his or her room. They just invite imagination.
